Subscription Terms

1. The Subscription

1.1 LowTox AI offers a Pro subscription plan providing access to enhanced features as described on the pricing page ("Pro Features").

1.2 Subscriptions are available on a monthly basis (£4.99/month) or annual basis (£39.99/year). All prices include applicable VAT where required by law. Payments are processed by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited ("Stripe"), acting as payment processor. Your contract for the subscription and for access to LowTox AI features is with LowTox Technology Ltd. Stripe processes your payment on our behalf; you are contracting with LowTox Technology Ltd, not with Stripe.

1.3 Stripe's terms of service govern the payment processing service. LowTox Technology Ltd's Terms of Use and these Subscription Terms govern your access to and use of the extension and web app.

2. Free Trial

2.1 On creating a LowTox AI account, you will receive a 14-day Pro trial ("Trial") with full access to Pro Features. No payment information is required to start the Trial.

2.2 The Trial begins on the date your account is created and expires at 23:59 on the 14th day.

2.3 At Trial expiry, your account automatically moves to the Starter plan (free tier). You will not be charged and no payment details will have been collected during the Trial.

2.4 To continue Pro access after Trial expiry, you must subscribe and provide payment details.

3. Billing and Auto-Renewal

3.1 Monthly subscriptions are billed every calendar month from the date of your first payment. Your subscription will automatically renew each month at the then-current monthly price unless you cancel before the renewal date.

3.2 Annual subscriptions are billed once per year from the date of your first payment. Your subscription will automatically renew each year at the then-current annual price unless you cancel before the renewal date.

3.3 Auto-renewal notice: YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AT THE END OF EACH BILLING PERIOD. YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE APPLICABLE PRICE UNLESS YOU CANCEL BEFORE THE RENEWAL DATE. You will receive a reminder email at least 7 days before any annual renewal. Monthly renewal reminders are not sent but the renewal date is visible in your account settings.

3.4 You authorise LowTox Technology Ltd (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on the renewal date. If payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. Your Pro access may be suspended until payment is received. You will receive an email notification if a payment attempt fails.

3.5 Price changes: LowTox Technology Ltd will give at least 30 days' written notice (email) before increasing the price of your subscription. If you do not cancel before the change takes effect, you accept the new price.

4. Cancellation

4.1 You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

4.2 Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Pro access until that date. We do not prorate or refund unused portions of a billing period except as provided in Section 5 below.

4.3 After cancellation, your account moves to the Starter plan automatically.

5. Statutory Cancellation Rights and Refunds

5.1 Statutory right to cancel (UK consumers): Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a right to cancel a contract for services within 14 days of the contract being made ("Cancellation Period"), without giving a reason.

5.2 Waiver of statutory cancellation right: By subscribing and requesting that we begin providing Pro Features immediately, you expressly acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations once the service has been fully performed, or in the case of ongoing services, once performance begins. You confirm you understand this by completing your subscription purchase.

5.3 14-day goodwill refund policy: Notwithstanding Section 5.2, if you are not satisfied with Pro and request a refund within 14 days of your first paid charge, we will refund in full at our discretion. This is a goodwill policy, not a statutory entitlement (given the waiver in 5.2). Please contact us to request a refund. Refunds may take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.

5.4 EU consumers: The same statutory cancellation right applies under Directive 2011/83/EU. The same waiver and goodwill refund policy apply.

6. Early Adopter and Promotional Pricing

6.1 Early adopter annual pricing (£29.99/year) is available to eligible users (as defined in the Early Adopter Offer Terms at /claim/early-adopter) for a limited period. This rate is locked for continuous subscribers. If you cancel and re-subscribe, the standard rate applies. This offer cannot be combined with other promotional pricing.

6.2 Promotional pricing is non-transferable and cannot be combined with other offers.

7. Changes to the Service

7.1 LowTox Technology Ltd may add, modify, or remove features from the Pro plan with 30 days' notice. We will not remove material features without notice. If a material feature you relied on is removed, you may cancel within 30 days of notice and receive a prorated refund.

8. Governing Law

8.1 These Subscription Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
